About Bridgement

Bridgement is breaking down the barriers to access finance for small businesses in South Africa. Traditional loans from banks and other lenders have a slow application process, have strict criteria, require a lot of documentation, and inflexible terms. In contrast, we use cutting-edge technology and artificial intelligence to offer flexible finance online, with a 2-minute application, no documentation required, and a decision in a matter of hours. We’re a well-funded fintech start-up, backed by Capricorn and the greater Yellowwoods group, best known for their investments in and ownership of Nandos, Hollard, Clientèle, Direct Axis, and Budget Group. However, we are still near the start of our journey because we aim to issue over a billion Rand in finance to small businesses within the next 3 years.

Roles & Responsibilities

As a Marketing Manager you will:
  • Be responsible for defining Bridgement’s marketing strategy
  • Be responsible for driving brand awareness, as well as acquisition and retention of SME customers and partners
  • Conceptualise and execute campaigns across digital and offline channels including Paid + Organic Search, Paid + Organic Social, Outbound Email, ATL, Viral Marketing, etc.
  • Manage and coordinate specialist contractors and agencies
  • Be responsible for our content strategy and execution
  • Tracking and analysing campaign performance, gathering insights and optimising accordingly
  • Researching and analysing market trends and competitors


You will need to:
  • Have a tertiary degree from a top-rated university
  • Have 3-5 years’ experience in a similar growth/digital marketing role
  • Be experienced in managing email, social media, and/or paid search campaigns
  • Have strong creative skills and the ability to generate engaging content
  • Have strong analytical skills and have experience in data analysis and excel
  • Have experience working with marketing automation, and A/B testing/optimisation tools
  • Be resourceful, self-motivated, innovative and good at project management
  • Have good business acumen and the ability to measure and analyse results and ROI
  • Be passionate about growing small businesses across South Africa
It will be useful to have although not absolutely required:
  • Experience in B2B marketing, or running marketing at a tech startup
  • Experience in related or similar sectors (e.g. finance/credit, banking, insurance, accounting or tech sectors
  • Experience using design tools
